Dear Trick or Treat Author 2025
Sep. 22nd, 2025 12:44 amHi! Thank you for writing/drawing for me! I’m reconditarmonia here, on Tumblr and on AO3. If you have any questions for me, please reach out through the mod!
Lucifer's Wife | Redwall | Sleep No More | Tam Lin
General likes:
– Loyalty kink! Trust, affectionate or loving use of titles, gestures of loyalty, replacing one’s situational or ethical judgment with someone else’s, risking oneself (physically or otherwise) for someone else, not doing so on their orders. Can be commander-subordinate or comrades-in-arms.
– Heists, or other stories where there’s a lot of planning and then we see how the plan goes.
– Femslash, complicated or intense relationships between women, and female-centric gen. Women doing “male” stuff (possibly while crossdressing).
– Relationships that aren’t built on romance or attraction. They can be romantic or sexual as well, but my favorite ships are all ones where it would still be interesting or compelling if the romantic component never materialized. Stories whose emotional climax or resolution isn’t the sex scene, if there is one.
– Uniforms/costumes/clothing.
– Stories, history, and performance. What gets told and how, what doesn’t get told or written down, behavior in a society where everyone’s consuming media and aware of its tropes, how people create their personas and script their own lines.
– Minority/diaspora feelings and themes.
Smut Likes: clothing, uniforms, sexual tension, breasts, manual sex, cunnilingus, grinding, informal d/s elements, intensity.
General DNW: rape/dubcon, torture, other creative gore; unrequested AUs, including “same setting, different rules” AUs such as soulmates/soulbonds; PWP; food sex; embarrassment; focus on pregnancy; Christmas/Christian themes; infidelity; unrequested polyamory; focus on unrequested canon or non-canon ships; unrequested trans versions of characters; breakups; jealousy; focus on grief; unequal levels of investment in a relationship (including concerns about same that turn out to be unwarranted), or the idea of a character accepting something they're unhappy with as the most they're going to get; characters apologizing to their partner when they don't actually know what they did to upset them; characters who are written in a sexual context within the fic being ignorant about sex/anatomy (inexperienced is fine); the word "pussy"

Fandom: Lucifer's Wife
Character(s): Cedric Armstrong/Bertrand d'Arsy
TGATC fans (myself included) have been blessed by a number of exchange fics but what about this medieval lord and retainer ship? I would love a focus on Cedric as Bertrand's right hand - I like the little bits we get in canon when Cedric is obsessing over doing all of the intimate body-servant stuff for Bertrand which is not really his job but he's just trying to guard him from as close as possible, but of course right from the beginning we see Cedric as the guy who is always at Bertrand's side functioning as his weapon and an extension of his will. Which the scar scene obviously plays into! (Also he's funny! Not all of EIM's loyal subordinates are funny!)
At the same time I also like that Cedric sort of fulfills that trope of the more underhanded subordinate to a more noble lord, who will do the things the lord can't dirty his hands with and who, in this case, will try to make sure the lord doesn't know. Does Bertrand ever suspect and order him to confess (in anguish?!) what he did, or does it remain a "we both kind of know I know but I have to officially not know" thing?
Fandom-Specific DNW: you don't need to retcon the marriage that is the basis of the plot and I don't need you to make it explicitly platonic if you don't want to, but I would like to be able to read them as a platonic power couple; please don't talk about Bertrand/Gabrielle romantic feelings or suggest any sort of poly negotiation.

Fandom: Redwall
Character(s): Mariel, Dandin & Mariel
MARIEL MY HOMEGIRL. I always loved how much of a determinator she was - hard to kill! out for revenge! - and it's cool how she figured out how to use ropes as her main weapon. I would love post-canon fic about her, or with her and Dandin as friends, having adventures (fighting for the little guy, aiding another resistance! on a quest to find something!) where (if writing Dandin) their strong bond and how well they know each other comes into play, or just chill slice of life and friendship time. What does "home" look like for her if she never settles down anywhere?
(I would maybe like it if Mariel also got to learn how to fight with Martin's sword, as much as I think it's neat that she made and learned her own weapon/discipline. That was always a bit of a shame.)
Fandom-Specific DNW: No sex for this fandom, please. Feel free to either keep or ignore canon's, er, species essentialism, though I would not want fic About it either way.

Fandom: Sleep No More
Character(s): J. Fulton, Speakeasy Bartender, Bald Witch
(Please consult previous letters, my prompts/likes/interests are the same. In particular, I accidentally forgot to opt into art for my main gift here, but unlike other fandoms where I am requesting fic and would only want art as an additional treat, if you happen to be assigned to me on this fandom please feel free to gift art instead if that is what inspires you.)
Fandom-Specific DNW: Hecate as sub in any Speakeasy/Hecate fic; writing multiple romantic relationships among the witches and people adjacent to them is fine and wouldn't violate my poly DNW but please don't write any poly negotiation or manipulation of Speaks's jealousy.

Fandom: Tam Lin
Character(s): The Baby
What a cool nomination! I would be so excited to read about the future adventures of Janet and Tam Lin's kid (ideally when grown up or at least a teenager). Do they have special powers or an ability to go back and forth to the fairy realm because of the circumstances of their conception or Tam Lin being a fairy/having been one at the time? (the ballad does say he's not an earthly knight...even if he originally was one?) Do they ever meet the queen (having gone to her realm, or on Halloween, or something else), or other weird or interesting fairies?
